Update from the assembly: New, almost old board and a big thank you
This year’s virtual fall general meeting forsaw the regular board elections on the agenda. Founding OSF member Christine Plote had decided not to run for another term of office.
With her commitment since the founding of OSF as well as through her work on the board and her function as Head of Communications and Head of the OSF Ethics Group, she has had a decisive influence on the Open Search Foundation. Stefan Voigt, Chairman of the Board, expressed his deep gratitude for her many years of valuable commitment and regretted the decision.
Prof. Dr. Melanie Platz, Professor of Didactics at Saarland University, is a new member of the board team. She has been co-head of the osf Education + Literacy specialist group for several years and brings valuable expertise that will enrich our work. A warm welcome, Melanie!
The members have otherwise confirmed the previous board with their election: Dr. Stefan Voigt remains Chairman, supported by Dr. Frank Hauser and PD Dr. Christian Geminn.
